Our approach to keeping riders safe

Ensuring you have a great ride starts well before you begin pedaling. Proper preparation, protocols, and staff training prevent accidents and injury while ensuring our a swift response when situations do arise.

Our Pre-ride Safety Guidelines

  • Guides will have training in first-aid & CPR, along with Wilderness First Aid for multi-day trips.
  • A pre-ride bike inspection and setup is required for all activities
  • Participant briefing will reciew the equipment provided, selected route conditions, and accident avoidance prior to any ride or rental
  • Weather conditions will be reviewed and recommendations made prior to departing with any rental bikes or on guided rides.
  • A pre-ride form with physical assessment & equipment check-list is required to ensure participants arrive prepared for the given ride.
  • We don’t allow riders under the age of 15 to rent equipment, riders 15-18 require a parent or guardian signed waiver of liability.

Guided Ride & Trip Protocols

  • All guided rides and trips will have a maximum ratio of 1 guide for every 5 riders
  • Safety satellite communication devices will be on hand for all activities out of cell service
  • An emergency treatment & Evac plan will be in place for all rides ranging from short guided rides to multi-day backcountry trips
  • Guides will give clear communication with participants around any changes to an itinerary/ride plan based on weather, road conditions, individual rider wellness, and unforeseen hazards.
  • All participants and guides agree to adhere to hygienic guidelines
  • A support vehicle with first-aid supplies and evac provided on an as needed basis.
  • We follow and enforce all applicable laws surrounding public road use and etiquette for trail use
